Dear fellow travelers, We’re writing with a small update. The Fall Issue of Global Indian Artist™, originally scheduled for September 15, will now launch on September 20. This brief delay allows us to thoughtfully present the final articles and ensure the issue reflects the depth, voices, and artistry that our rapidly growing global community of subscribers deserves. It is an exciting time of year—with the foliage of fall coloring the East Coast, festivals of dance and music unfolding, and artists everywhere keeping hope alive in our hearts—even as we navigate economic and political shifts and their impact on the arts. Kudos to the cultural organizations and patrons who stand by artists and ensure their support continues. With gratitude, I also acknowledge a generous grant of $5,000 from the Massachusetts Cultural Council in support of SarangArts’ podcast, Arts for Social Justice—a cause I deeply care about. In the coming weeks, the Erasing Borders Festival in NYC (Sept 20–21), the Intersections Dance Conference in Boston (Sept 27–28), and the Rasik Dance concert series (Oct 4) are events to look forward to on the East Coast. As Global Indian Artist continues to grow, I find myself pausing to reflect and redefine what it means to be a Global Indian Artist. That reflection, too, is part of the journey I hope to share with you. We’re grateful for your patience and delighted to bring you an issue dedicated to Embodiment as Wellbeing, featuring conversations, reflections, and stories that span the global dance and arts community.Thank you for walking this journey with us. We look forward to sharing this edition with you on September 20.In peace and with gratitude,Anita VallabhFounder & Editorial Curator
